Wd you? Am going to slow cook beef with parsnips, sweet pot, swede etc, in tomatoes. Can I take the cooked veggies out and mash them for baby, on basis that the no-protein till six months applies to meat solids, or is there something in meat juices/gravy I shd avoid until later too?

There will be protein and fat from oil/butter in the meat juices so no way would I give it to a 5 month old sorry.

No need to be sorry! Was just thinking about it and genuinely wanted to know if the fat/juices etc was a problem at 5 months, given she's quite well established on pureed fruit & veg, and by six months will be eating blendered meat solids etc. Thanks for the reply.

I would but then I like to fly in the face of advice from 'experts'

I have a 5 month old and I would... but I'm no expert, just go with what I feel is right... little monster swiped a piece of cheesecake on sunday... and tried to bite the cats leg this morning...
