11 month refusing to eat

HI new mum here who is really confused so I don't know where else to go.
My 11 month old is refusing to eat. The health visitor on a phone meeting informed recently he should be having less milk and relying on food more which makes sense. And i try to not give him milk but what to do if he wont eat.
I do time the meal correctly so he's not starving but also not full. I make meal times fun I have tried so much variety to see if he like something, nothing is working.
When I spoon-feed which worked for the past months now he clamps his mouth shut and moves his head away and after a bit he gets annoyed I'm feeding him. When I placed the food infront of him he throws the bowl on the floor, (even the munchkin suction bowl) any finger food also on the floor ,if i give him a spoon ,throws that too.
I have been actively giving finger food since he was 6 months and he just doesn't put it in his mouth. Its all on the floor.
He wont drink from a sippy cup, been trying for months he pushes it away.

Hv said this is all behavioural but I think he doesnt understand this is food he needs to eat it. We sit in front of him at meal times so he observes us eating, that is doing nothing.
He is quite behind for an 11 month HV said he is borderline for delay in development. He does not crawl, roll over, stand, pick himself up , nor wave, say object names, point, feed himself, respond to his name , to name a few.

Is that linked ?

They say the kid won't starve himself but he will if i don't give milk he will not pick up the food he will not eat , he screams because he reaches intense hunger so not giving him milk at the point becomes hard.

I'm sorry this is long. Any insight?

Also something different about my ds is he doesnt even put toys or objects in his mouth like other kids too i always assumed that's the reason he doesn't put food in his mouth.

First of all it definitely seems linked in your case yes. My daughter occasionally does the clamp mouth thing too. Have you tried giving up and going back to it later ( easy to do with an Ella’s pouch)? Or a “bit for me, bit for you” approach with something simple like bread or toast to begin with but then working up? Does he eat anything?

Hmmm.. this sounds super weird. Has he had hearing and eye sight tests? Does he have any teeth? Was he born prematurely?

Hi OP, my son was like this. Wasn't bothered about solids until closer to 13 months, and made slow progress on the solids journey. Didn't mouth toys either.

As a pre schooler he's a good little eater, enjoys his food and often willing to try new things! Still a slow eater and not very food-motivated - he's just not much of a foodie!
