Making your own baked beans?

Does anyone have a 'recipe' for making baked beans?

Not because I'm being super conscientious, but I'd like to try other types of beans in the sauce to get DD into eating more variety.

I shall bake a batch next time I am doing a slow cook casserole and have the oven running for a couple of hours - hence simultaneously doing my bit for the planet too.
