Adding the second meal of the day

My LO is 6 months old and currently eats his "lunch". We still offer a bottle at this time but hes content on just having the solids. Just wondering how long to do this until we add breakfast/tea or if there are signs I should look for that hes ready for the second, and eventually, third meal.

These wouldn't be replacing bottles yet but just getting him used to eating solids at these times. TIA

We did 3 meals from the start of weaning. Admittedly a long time ago. I continued to breastfeed until 18 months (until a year on demand then gradually reduced)

NHS advice is to offer milk 30 mins to an hour before food and to move to 3 meals a day from 9 months and snacks to be added after 1 years. Other than that it’s about doing what is most convenient for your family in terms of what times are best.
