Hello!
My 11 month old DS has never been a “good” eater but every meal is just getting harder. He’ll wolf down a bowl of porridge in the morning but other than that the only things he’ll eat are toast, yoghurt or baked beans. We all sit down and eat together, offering him the same things we have but most lunch and dinners involve him getting so upset. I’ve tried giving him meals sat on my lap but all he wants to do is get down, tried a little picnic on the floor with picky bits but he’s not interested. He’s not making up for not eating much by having more breastfeeds either. He’s always been between 25th and 50th centile and I did weigh him (on our bathroom scales) a couple of weeks ago and he’s still tracking there.
Just wondering if there’s anything else I can do. I don’t want him going hungry so I end up giving in and giving him yoghurt or fruit as I know he’ll eat that but has he come to expect that now? 🤷♀️ I didn’t think I’d be dealing with fussy eating until much later if I’m honest and it seems as though so many of my friends with similar age babies put food in front of them and they eat it.
