Hi all. So this might seam a bit long.
My LG is 19 weeks and isn't going down at night untill 1030/11 so I wanted to bring her bed time forward...
if I bring it forward she would drop a bottle as she takes 8oz every 4 hours ...
I've recently started porridge at her 7ish bottle ..
so I was thinking of giving her some porridge / food about this time and then a bottle an hour later then bed ?
Would this be ok as she's weaning surely she would drop a bottle anyway ?
I do understand the whole 6minths things but my hv actually made a comment that she is getting " quite a lot " of formula ..
Any advice is great thanks x

Why does your HV think she's getting a lot of formula? How much does she have in 24 hours and what does she weigh, roughly?

8oz ×4 isn't that much formula!

Also, babies don't drop bottles so young. They will only start to drop a bottle when they are on 3 meals a day.
I won't preach about the age to wean but, when I was having problems weaning my second son, the hv told me that milk/formula is the most important thing until the age of 1 so if your baby is still hungry, add bottles or oz but certainly don't cut back at such a young age.

32 floz in 24 hours is the amount for a 12.5 lb baby. If she weighs anymore than that then she's not really having enough formula to help her grow and develop

Hi there.
So it looks like I have a baby that would eat and eat and eat. As I've now brought forward bedtime and she herself had dropped to 4 bottles a day ... of course I would feed her if she needed extra. She now sleeps from 9-730 yay !
