Breakfast ideas 8 month old

Hi looking for breakfast ideas for 8 month old. She has toast with a bit of almond butter on, and french toast, both of which she will have a little of. She sometimes has a bit of omelette. She loves Ella's Kitchen mango baby brekkie pouches but don't want to give those every day. She doesn't seem keen on porridge. Very grateful for suggestions to give a bit more variety! Thanks.

I usually give mine something more filling: such as porridge, toast, Weetabixy cereal (check salt levels), have been known baby rice, oaty bars you can make with oats, milk and very finely grated carrot/apple, pancake, then I serve the more filling thing with some fruit. For example yesterday she had a small bit of pancake and two orange slices and today she had weetabix and two kiwi slices. I have no idea of this is the right thing to do but it seems right to me! Xx

Porridge with grated apple, weetabix with mashed banana, eggy bread, scrambled eggs are favorites in our house.

Dd has Bircher muesli at that age which she loved: I soaked oats in breastmilk with a good spoon of natural yogurt, some frozen berries and finely chopped nuts, and a bit of maple syrup to sweeten.

Omelettes, eggs bread, dippy eggs, porridge, weetabix, anything I fancied that wasn’t too high in salt or a choking hazard really.

She has never seemed keen on porridge but will try some with grated apple!

Have you tried making the porridge with different oats? You could try jumbo oats for a lumper texture or oat bran for a finer texture. You could also try using different flavourings and toppings and waiting until it’s completely cool before serving to her.

No I've only really tried regular porridge so I will try some different oats. I made porridge fingers with cinnamon this morning and she seemed to enjoy those Smile
