Ikea highchair getting the better of me

After reading all the recommendations on mumsnet, I went and bought one of the white Ikea highchairs.

DD loves it and all is going well except that I can't work out how you take the blummin' tray off.

Maybe it's an intelligence test.....

Does anyone out there know how to do it?

Brute force....grab the front of the tray and pull upwards. Kind of pivot it upwards.

What SMS said.

Yep. You have to test your will. Keep pulling till you think it'll break, It wont!

We've just bought one as well. DH turned it upside down, pushed two sticking out bits by the tray and it came off easily...

TBH I never take the tray off unless we are going away for the weekend. Taking it off doesn't make it easier to put child in, and food doesn't seem to accumulate under it so I don't bother.

push forward and lift upwards. once you've done it you'll wonder what the problem was...

Thanks everyone. Brute force was used to great success.

Randomly hijacking this post so say thank you mumsnet for recommending the Ikea Antilop. We are so pleased with ours and both sets of grandparents have bought one too. And I've not tried taking the tray off yet but when I want to, now I know what to do.
Loving Mumsnet!!

I've also bought one to replace the hulking great thing I already had. I dont really take the tray off as it is easy to get ds in and out without removing it and it cleans ok without taking it off too.
