Giving DC leftover food?

My DS is 11 months old and we try and eat as many meals together as possible as a family but it’s not always practical because DH gets in late from work, so me and him usually eat together once DS is in bed. If it’s a suitable meal such as spag bol then I’ll save DS a portion in the fridge for him to have for lunch or dinner the following day. This may sound completely dumb but things like leftover chicken dinner, is it ok to save DS a portion for the following day? I’ve always done this for myself but with things like chicken I always panic about reheating for him as I’m terrified of him getting ill. I always make sure it’s piping hot when reheated. DH is saying I shouldn’t be giving him leftover chicken the following day in case I make him ill!

It's fine. I always save a portion of our dinner for the kids lunch the next day.

It’s completely fine as long as you’re putting it in the fridge and cooking it through
