Feeding Time Stress

My DS recently turned 1. He used to be so good at trying different foods, but now it just seems to be so difficult.

He often refuses breakfast (Weetabix, porridge or toast with different fruits) and barely has anything for dinner. Then come tea time, he's hungry but will have a few bites then start spitting it out and playing with it instead!

I'm desperate to get more veg and fruit in him but he just pulls a face and throws it. It's stressing me and DP out. Is this a normal phase? Will he grow out of it? Is there something we can do?

Firstly don't get stressed as he will pick up on it. All of this sounds perfectly normal.

Can I ask how much milk he's having in 24 hours?

If he's EBF have you thought of night weaning?

Generally down to 2 bottles a day, 18oz, as the health visitor said that's all he needs on the cows milk along with 3 meals. He also has vitamin drops.

I try not to get stressed and ignore it, I just worry about him not getting enough. Sometimes he'll have a 3rd bottle in the day (he has plenty of water) and I'm worrying about what to give him of a night when he wakes up. He sometimes still wakes up for a bottle of sorts I'm the night.
