Hi,

My daughter is 7 months old and is still breastfeeding on average of 12 times a day!!! She can feed anywhere between 2 and 40 mins on the breast, can fall asleep there but doesn’t always, and cluster feeds in the evening to then sleep through the night (sorry mums!!)

I want to be able to reduce this so that I can start introducing more food in a structured way so that when she goes to nursery in 3 months they aren’t having a struggle of feeding her every hour or so.

Any ideas? Cheers and TIA

3 months is a long long time away and you're probably barely getting tastes of food in still. It will naturally reduce with time and most babies even if they are very keen on BF, don't expect it at nursery as mum isn't there.

Just keep it simple.. prepare a baby friendly meal when you eat and it'll soon become a routine.

Like others have said, 3 months is a long tome so try not to worry too much about it now.

How about sitting Herat the table with you while you have breakfast and dinner? If you want some baby friendly foods that you can all eat try this cookbook.

It really doesn't matter at 7 months if she eats much of what you offer, but do offer it once or twice a day so that she gets used to sitting as a family and seeing you all eat.

Thanks guys. the giving her food thing has somewhat decreased in the last few days, hopefully i will pick it up again soon. Thank you for the recommendations!
