did they suffer from wind at the beginning and if so, how long did it take to ease? DS has always been a bit of a farter, but he'd win competitions at it now, and I'm wondering if I need to change the times of his feeds or reduce the amount of veg he has? he has a veg cube at 11.45, sometimes mixed with a couple of teaspoons of baby rice and BM, then a fruit puree at 4pm, again, sometimes with BR & BM. He hasn't changed the amount of BM he takes so far (or at least it hasn't seemed that he has).

He's 6mo and has been on first tastes for a few weeks, taking it easy and following his lead. He generally wants to eat more than i've prepared and really enjoys it, but is really windy, especially at night and we think it might be contributing to waking him up at night. - He's not been the best sleeper for the last few months as it is, so I don't want this to make it worse, anyubody experienced anything similar? (or am I just clutching at straws out of desperation lack of sleep???) He's still on the first foods lists and hasn't progressed to stuff like brocolli etc. yet.
Do you think it might help if I gave him breakfast and lunch rather than lunch and tea for a few weeks?
TIA

what is the first foods list? are you following a weaning book?

MerlinsBeard · 27/08/2007 19:14

it could be just his digestion getting used to new fods and flavours and ways of digesting it.

cauliflower was the worst for this!

first foods just generally the popular ones that are listed everywhere and AK has and stuff, so apple, pear, carrot, sw pot, squash... nothing too windy!
