I have just started BLW with DS, as he has eczema I am just introducing fruit and veg for now (he's just 6 months). Had some carrot yesterday and today, yesterday it all went on the floor but today he had a good old chew and must have swallowed some as he sicked up later and there was a bit of orange in it!

Anyway, just a couple of Qs for the next day or two...

Because of his eczema I want to introduce fruit & veg gradually, but is it OK to introduce more than one in a day? (I'm steering clear of possible allergens like tomatoes etc at the mo.) For tomorrow I've got sweet potato and a pear, but should I just introduce one?

Also should I cook the pear? (Will be reasonably ripe tomorrow) and how about leaving the skin on?

i think the advice is to introduce one new food every couple of days or so.

You don't need to cook the pear. Just slice it, and if it's soft, he'll be able to suck it. Leave the skin on or peel it, it's up to you, but there are a lot of vitamins just under the skin. Having said that, my girls really dislike the skin.

hail, queen of quinoa.
if you have a look on my blog and there's some stuff about allergies. i'd probably stick to one thing a day for a while, and be aware that you can do a lot of nifty things with gram flour.

Hi Aitch! Followed the links from your site and am sticking with one thing per day for now. Although none of today's sweet potato went in his mouth, so I don't reckon that counts!
