7mo drinking too much milk?

Hi! My 7 mo boy loves his food. He is on 3 meals a day and eat everything (I feed him until he s not hungry anymore so quite a lot of cubes). He has 3 bottles of milk a day as well. For the past few days, he is drinking 17 Oz of milk at the 6:30pm feed 😱. If I try to give him less then he cries. He usually takes 11oz, fall asleep and one hour later cries for having another 6-7oz. I don't know why he is eating so much for this feed. The other bottles of the day he s having 8oz. Tea time is having carbs like potato and leak soup or toast fingers etc...
I dont know what to do so he cut down on this last feed, it s annoying that he wakes up after going to bed because he s still hungry. And it feels like his belly is going to explode as it s so huge because of the amount of milk haha.
Did anyone experienced this?

Is he having much protein in his meals? What food is he eating?

My 7 month old is on 5/6 8 oz bottles a day along with 3 meals, although I’m not spoon feeding so he’s probably not eating as much food as yours.

Its either too soon into weaning to have cut out down to 3 bottles or he’s having a growth spurt so perhaps try adding in another bottle.

I mean adding one in earlier in the day so he’s not as milk hungry by bedtime.

I would add that we’ve cut down from 7 bottles since we started weaning, so he is getting there and currently we seem to be alternating how much he has each day depending on how much he had the day before.

He s having same lunch than the other kids at nursery such like chicken curry, spaghetti bolognese, salmon pie etc... so there is meat or fish for each of his lunch. I am guessing that should be enough protein?
I could try to add another bottle, just not too sure when? Atm his routine is:
7:45: 8oz bottle followed by porridge with fruits
11:45 lunch
14:00/14:30: 8oz bottle
17:00 tea time
18:30-19:30: 17 oz bottle
thank you!

Could he have another bottle before lunch? Or just before or after tea?

This is a fairly typical routine although it varies half hour each way as I’m still off work and I have two older children he needs to fit round.

6.00 bottle
7.30 breakfast
9.00 bottle
12.00 bottle
13.00 lunch
15.30 bottle
17.30 bottle
18.00 dinner
19.30 bottle

All bottles apart from the bedtime one are 8 oz but as he gets more food into himself he is drinking less of them.

I will try that thank you :)

My 7mo is currently having around 50oz of milk in 24 hours!! Trying to reduce it a bit to see if it will encourage him to have more solids. He'll eat, but it's only 5-15 baby spoonfuls at each meal. Can't get him to eat anytbing homemade either!

Last bottle before bed is normally around 15oz, so I know what you mean. Although he did sleep through for the first and only time once this week!
