Hi
My 11 month old has been a food thrower for a while but now he throws every single thing on the floor without trying it. Occasionally he'll eat a bit of bread or fruit but 99% of the time all of it goes on the floor.
I've been trying to ignore it but it's getting worse not better. I give him one or two bits at a time so he has less to throw but as soon as I hand him something he chucks it. I've been giving him some yoghurt or something after as I'm worried about him being hungry but maybe that's just encouraging him more?
He'll happily eat porridge, pouches and will be spoon fed his tea, curry pasta etc most of the time.
My current thinking is if he throws it, ignore it, take it away and offer again later? He's only on two bottles a day now morning and evening so I'm concerned he'll be hungry all day! We usually give him finger foods/sandwiches etc for lunch and this is what gets thrown.
Any ideas or advice would be very helpful!
