Water instead of milk

I was reading that when a baby turns 6 months they can have water to drink, but how do you know whether to give them water or milk?

I know that sounds ridiculous...

You just give a cup of water with food. At 6 months you should be offering solids 30 to 60 mins after a milk feed.

Just offer when you offer food.

You dint have to at all. All the water they need is in breast milk/ formula. You can offer a little with food if you want to but not much.
Just don't stress, with my first I was a neurotic nightmare. Now on my third and final and just go with the flow. She's 8 months and never had a cup of water

Ah thank you all Smile I'm a FTM (pretty obvious really Grin) and we put so much pressure on ourselves to do everything perfectly, don't we?

Thanks so much!
