Sleepy when eating?

Hoping someone can help.

My DD is nearly 11 months old (but born 7 weeks early so 9 ish months corrected age).

She's never been a big eater, struggled with breastfeeding (was lucky if she latched for 5 mins). Has never taken any more than 5oz from a bottle and refuses any more than 3 bottles in a day.

Weaning has been a slow process, like really slow. She's no real interest in food. Plays with it for a bit then either throws away or more regularly starts to act super tired and cry. Think eye rubbing, slumping in high chair etc. As soon as I take her out the high chair the 'tiredness ' goes away and she'll happily play.

I'm at loss as to what to try to spark her interest. Does anyone have any ideas?

She's currently on the 2nd centile

Have you tried having food around that she can try when playing, take the pressure off when she's in the high chair, you may find she's happier to try when she can explore it herself.

You could also try messy play with foods so she can explore the feel smell etc and taste if she wants to. Spaghetti, baked beans, jelly all work well.

Thank s @April45 I've done a bit of this. Will keep trying more and hopefully she will start to get it.
