6 month old solely breast fed want to wean - any advice on what to start with?

hello

i have a 6 month old and h ave solely breast fed him. have started introducing baby rice. any adviuce tips on how to wean based on home cooking - ehst to give how much? what to avoid? etc? how do i build up to 3 a day.? thank you ;)

You have a choice. You can go down the slop and puree route - a teaspoon a meal working up to three meals of a tablespoonish - according to how much your child will eat.

Or, you can try baby led weaning - whatever you eat (unless loaded with salt) put bits of it on your baby's tray. Whatever is picked up will be eaten or dropped. Eventually your baby gets the idea.

Do a search on BLW or baby led weaning on here if you want to go down that route.

However first, invest in a messy mat and a sou wester (for you!)

Our 6 month old exclusively bf started off on butternut squash and has never looked back. Now 1 year and eating everything in sight
