Weaning essentials? What do I need?

Will be weaning DD at the end of the month and so far I have:

High chair
Spoons
Sippy cups
Little pots
Food processor

I think I need
Big bibs
Mat to go under the high chair
A plate
A bowl
A cup

Am I missing something? I did google what I’d need but sone of the stuff seemed unnecessary.

Get several plastic plates, bowls, cups.
Loads of flannels for mealtimes!
Bibs with sleeves and bibs with catchy bits

You sound like you're all set

Sounds good!

I use sistema stacking pots (threaded lids) if out and about instead of bowls and plates- I found you can put a small amount of food in littlest one, stack them up, take them out, use them as bowls (lids work as plates) then restack at the end. Takes up less space and they don't tend to leak. By no means necessary but works for me!

Didn’t bother. Used an old shower curtain and just gave her what we had. BLW rocks!

Don't bother with purées and just feed the same as you eat.

I find BLW kids as far less fussy and have better table manners from a younger age. (DS is 15 months and refuses to eat unless it's on a plate/bowl and he has cutlery - makes sandwich's interesting 😂)

BLW is the way to do it! For us anyway. Couldn't be done with doing separate meals and the fuss of making purées etc. He ate everything we ate from 6 months (within reason) and it done well for us because I thought more healthy.

Bowls, spoons, bibs, high chair.

Don’t think there’s much else?
