8 month old. Massive drop in milk intake

Hi,

My boy is small. Been following 0.4 centile line most his life so far, breast fed for 8 weeks then formula. He has only ever taken a max of 28 oz a day...but more often around 24 oz.

Weaned at 6 months. He has three meals a day (porridge breakfast, puree lunch and dinner with finger foods offered each meal time too. All of his purees have milk and cheese added as instructed by HV for weight gain. So far he has gained well and is now 2.5 centile. His milk intake dropped to around 20oz initially...then the last week it has dropped to about 14oz. I am having kittens!

It's so hard because I feel like we have made progress with his weight gain after so long...only for him to now not want any milk. I am giving him vitamin drops again as suggested by HV and trying to get as much dairy as I can into his food.

Just really wondering it there is anyone else who had experienced this? My friends babies still drank a good amount of milk even once weaned...and I'm just so worried about him.

Thank you x

Does he eat most of his solids? Maybe he's full from food so doesn't want has much milk like before. I know my son at 8 months did this too. Keep monitoring his weight and if it goes up I wouldn't worry to much.
