DD feeds me!

Just wondering if other dc do this too?
DD loves to try to feed me her BLW scraps at mealtimes. She is 14 months but has been doing it for a while now.

Yes, DD does this too - she seems intent on me trying everything (she's only 9 months). I wouldn't worry if I were you. It's pretty funny, although a bit messy when she pokes food into my face.

Yes my dd does this (1yr). She's learning how to use her spoon at the moment, and loves to try to feed me yoghurt. Its good fun. Although not when she mixes yoghurt into the remains of something else on her tray and then tries to feed me the mangled mush!

Yes, ds (nearly 1) does this. Has a cold atm and everything proffered has a trail of slime hanging off it.... mmmm...

Tapster · 22/07/2007 17:29

Yep my DD 8.5 months just started doing it - its so funny. Is it a BLW thing?

PrettyCandles · 22/07/2007 17:34

Yes, ds2 9m is doing this as well. Very clumsily, but he thinks it's a complete scream.

Yes, my dd's been doing this for a while. She eats sod-all herself but insists on feeding everyone else and all her toys. The best fun so far was watching her suff rice-cake, grapes and chicken(all at once) in MIL's mouth and hold it shut

callmeovercautious · 23/07/2007 19:58

LOL danceswithbaby, can she come and teach my DD to hold mouths shut?. MIL is coming soon

My DD 10m does this too. But she puts everything in my mouth, toys or clothes she is playing with etc. She mouths it first then offers it to me. She did it with her little friend the other day and everyone said "oh look she is sharing!" - very proud Mummy!!!!

Pleased to hear that dd isn't an oddity !

Not just a BLW thing. DD used to do this a lot, and we have photos of her on her first birthday trying to feed her baby dolls too. I didn't know about BLW at all back then.

Oh God, it gets worse. My daughter has been feeding me since she was about seven months and it was quite cute - bits of strawberry or rice cake but mostly stuff that she'd just picked up. Now she's nearly eleven months old, I quite often get food that has been gummed to death shoved cheerily at my mouth. I don't mind the fruit so much as you can kind of pretend that the slime was there to start with but half-chewed sandwich is really not at all nice.
