BLW and staying at a hotel

Parents in law inviting all to a hotel for a weekend for their anniversary. Dinner has been organised for 2 nights for 8pm so DD will be 9months so won't be able to eat then. Some sort of tea is provided for kids - presume its chicken nugget and chips sort (will check today). DD shows impeccable taste by refusing all jarred food. Thinking of taking some pitta bread, cream cheese and home made humous as standbys. Will see if the kitchen will make up plain chicken breast and some steamed vegetables.

Any experiences of hotels and BLW?

Of course DH's family don't understand why a jar of Hipp Organic isn't the answer...

We stayed in a hotel that did tea for kids at 5ish. It wasn't all nuggets and each day we just ordered 9month old DD a chicken breast and some boiled potatoes and veg. Breakfast was easy with toast and banana. Lunch she ate with us in the restaurant. It all went well. The hotel might do better kid's food than you think - they are all pretty concious of needing to provide a healthy choice thanks to Jamie oliver and others.

A hotel will be able to do you something no problem if you ask them....pasta, toast, bread, cheese, veggies etc.

If you are worried ring them first but by virtue of it being a hotel means they have a range of food on the premises...

Trust me you will no doubt be loaded to the gunnels without taking extra food as well!

we were fine on hols- we had things like fruit, bread and butter, bagels etc at breakfast time, and mainly we gave DS bits of our food (strips of meat, veg etc). i carried some fruit as a backup.
