Cow & Gate formula stage 2

My daughter turns 6 months tomorrow & we've got half a tub left of formula Stage 1. Do we need to change to Stage 2 or is it okay to finish the tub?

You don't ever need to switch to stage 2 as stage 1 is fine up to 1 year

You can finish the tub or stay on stage 1 altogether. Stage 2 is just so they can market it - stage 1 is just as good. We moved DD1 onto it but didn't with DD2 as it made her awfully constipated so stuck with stage 1.

My DS is 9 months and still on stage 1. No need to change at all. It's all for marketing stuff

We stuck with stage 1 until the last tub ran out at 13 months!

What they said! They’re not allowed to market stage 1 as it discourages breastfeeding. So they invented follow on milk to get the brand name out there. That’s what I’ve heard at least!
