Nappies when weaning

Just wondering if weaning changed your babies bowl movements at all? I’ve just tentatively started weaning dd, she’s had some sweet potato and some of a purée pouch of carrot, pear and parsnip. Seemed to go okay but she’s had a few explosive nappies since and seems to be going more often and I’m not sure if this is normal? She’s absolutely fine in herself and didn’t seem upset about the excess pooing but it’s put me off a little bit in case I’m doing something wrong! She’ll be 6 months next week. Do you think I should maybe wait a few more weeks if she’s not quite ready or is this normal? TIA

Normal. Remember your baby has never digested solids before and their system has to get used to it. Just take it slow, a little at a time, so you don't end up with constipation or other issues.
