this site says no, but does anyone know why?
i had hoped to give to dd instead of cows milk in her porridge etc.

Odd that it doesn't explain why... My dd has goats milk, she is 8 months. It is pasturised St Helens Farm stuff from Sainsburys.
This might help? www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-local/frameset/article/269.html

I found out why a while back but it was so technical I couldn't understand it! I'll see if I can find it again and post a link

thank you - so I can use goats milk products eg yogurt, and milk as part of the meal, but not as a drink, at 6 months.

Yep, goats milk is fine. Ds has had it since 8m in his food. It is easier to digest than cows milk.

massivebigpantsface · 16/07/2007 21:28

and is very delicious too!

plus: it is easier to digest

minus: it is lower in folic acid. Shouldnt be an issue if your child eats lots of spinach

my children had goats milk in cooking from about 4 months, and as their main drink from 1 year.
