I thought it would be great if we could all share our easy recipes (none of the "home made bean burgers" / "savoury muffins" which "only" take 30 minutes to make and then gets rejected).

I would love to hear what works for you and can be prepared in less than 10 minutes, and will start with mine:

  1. Pasta cooked with frozen spinach balls - add egg yolk and grated cheese when cooked to bind it all together (lots of variations on this)

  2. Fishfingers with peas

  3. Tortilla dry fried with cheese and spinach in it

Hope to get some inspiration! Giving what you eat isn't always a possibility so need to have a few quick win recipes up my sleeve!

Pasta, mixed with cream cheese and any veg u or the baby fancies! Added to it! Or veg puree can be added.

Cheese Straws. They keep well in an airtight container and can be served as a snack or with some veg as a meal.

Oh and DC2 almost exclusively survived on eggy bread for a good while Smile

Buy ready made pastry to make cheese straws or pinwheels. Mini self-crusting quiches are also good. Fishcakes made from leftover mash and a tin of tuna with a squeeze of lemon or lime, if you’ve got time you can coat them in breadcrumbs before baking in the oven for half an hour. We often have rice pudding, literally 2 minutes prep then whack it in the oven for an hour. And endless variations of pasta - with tinned sardines and tomato purée, with fried grated courgettes and butter, with ham and egg to make carbonara, etc.

Porridge fingers
Things on toast
Things on rice cakes
Fritters (eg sweetcorn fritters)
Pasta (I keep small portions of the filled ones in the freezer for a quick 10 minute meal)

We've had these blueberry pancakes breakfast for a few years. You can make them and freeze but we've always just scoffed them as they cone out of the pan Smile

Are all these meals ok from the start?

JiltedJohnsJulie · 19/03/2019 08:25

Are all these meals ok from the start. As long as baby is 6 months they can have almost anything. Gradually introducing new foods is an old concept from the days when they weaned at about 6 12 weeks Smile

Perfect ive been giving just veggies off my plate. Now ill just keep hers separate with no salt/sugar and give it to her
