Hello ladies,
My nearly 7 month old hasn’t ‘love’ food yet. She gags when I give purees/lumpier purees but if I give her a piece of fruit she’s ok.
My older one loved food whether on the tray to play with or on a spoon.
I’m scared with baby led but would love some advice how to do this and what sort of size I should give. I gave her some toast fingers and she chews lumps off and then I get scared and remove from her mouth...! Confused

Go babyled. Some 7 month olds would be fine with toast, but I wouldn’t expect her to yet if she’s only be been fed purée so far. For carbohydrate, start with cubes of well-steamed or baked potato/sweet potato/butternut and well-cooked pasta shapes. Don’t worry too much about protein - for now she’s probably getting enough from milk, although when she’s about 8 months you could give her cubes of tofu, mild cheese and some fish.

Isn't she having any finger foods OP? What's worrying you? Smile
