I was going to put it in my neighborhood family newsletter type thingy, but it wasn't working.

Don't want to do the newsletter in the first place but I definietly do not want to upset 250 americans who are new to BLW

i've exceeded my bandwidth, probably because of the hoo-hah this month (or maybe because it went out to a zillion people in chicago, you lovely lady), but am assured it'll be back on sunday because it's the first of the month so the slate is cleaned.
so long as it's going to go out after then we should be fine. i've got to move it off that package, though, i've been meaning to do it for ages tbh so it's a good thing really. hate that software.

mamama · 30/06/2007 03:06

okay, yay! Thanks - the newsletter won't be out for a week or two, so no worried then. Will make sure you are mentioned.

aitch was devasted it was off this morning. needed to know how to cut up some banana so LO can actually hold it. oh well. back to bits shooting out of his hands all over the place

anyway, i've got a question for ya, since you're here and all. what's with all the 'bits' in the poo. i know their digestive systems are immature and that, but is some being digested and some not? or is it just all passing through doing nothing? and does this change over time so that more gets digested? just what you want, a poo question on a saturday morning.

Aitch · 30/06/2007 11:50

it changes over time as they get better at chewing and their digestive system copes better. thing is, if the baby was eating a puree it's like it's partly pre-digested already so you don't know whether it's coming out pretty unaltered because, well, it went in runny.
bananas, either cut them in half to make two mini nanas, peeling the skin back and snipping off the flaps leaves a little cup of skin for them to hold onto. or somepeople find that if you unpeel the banana, break it in half and stick your finger up the middle of it, the resulting three long, thin pieces are easier to hold and more chip-shaped. i wish i'd known about that trick, tbh, saved me fannying around with scissors...

Amberjee · 30/06/2007 17:44

thanks aitch, will give both methods a try.

mamama · 30/06/2007 17:56
