DD2 is 6 months in three weeks, she is showing all the signs she is ready for solids. Wonder whether i should take go ahead & do it or wait?

Whats your thoughts?

I would. My DD self weaned at 23 weeks by grabbing food and scoffing it. It's fine to try her with some finger food. If she can pick it up and put it in her mouth unaided, she's ready Smile

Honestly, I’d wait and enjoy a final few easy weeks. Once they start solids, the bulk of your day is devoted to feeding them, whether cooking, meals, milk feeds, cleaning up, washing stained clothes, etc. It’s so much easier to leave the house (especially in winter, when you can’t easily have picnics or lunch at the playground) before they start weaning. There’s no rush. I’d make the most of this time while you have it.
