Any tips on meat eating

DS is 21 months, eats well lots of variety but isn't great with meat.

He'll eat cottage pie, spag bol etc and meat cut up small mixed with mash. But then we get stuck. He spits out casserole meat, roast slices, ham.

Is the age appropriate?
Do you have any ideas of how to move on from mince.

Thank you

Maybe he doesn’t like it? One of mine has never liked meat and is pretty much veggie now at 4 apart from the occasional bite of a ham sandwich.

That is a possibility yes, it seems like more of a chewing/ texture thing as he enjoys mince and the flavours of meat.

Just keep trying, I always used to think if they've chewed it and spat it out they've enjoyed the test but can't get rid of it.

I’d agree that if he chews it and spits it out, it’s not the taste that’s a problem. I’d just keep offering.

Mine is 21 months too and he won't eat chicken or steak but he loves sausage and pulled pork. We still offer him a variety of meats but sausage and pulled pork are firm favourites.

Thankyou, that's good to hear. I'll keep with what we're doing
