Weaning allergy?

My lb is just over 6m and we've given him baby porridge on a morning for 3 weeks now. He's had unusual nappies for over 2 weeks now so I'm wondering if he has am allergy to porridge (is that even a thing?)
His stool has gone from normal green thick consistency once a day - he's ff, and is now watery yellow with soft stringy bits in at pretty much every nappy change.
He's also grouchy in the afternoons and has a runny nose and a slight cough.
Alternatively - and please don't judge I already feel awful about this! But I found some mould in his bath seat which had clearly been gathering in the compartment for a while, could this have given him an upset stomach? He puts his bath toys in his mouth so will have drunk a little water each night.

Is he only having baby porridge? Have you tried giving him something different and see if that helps? Smile

That's the only thing he's had every day, we also give him blw bits on a lunch time. He's tried a few different veggies now. I think dropping the porridge is probably the first thing to try.

Is green poo the norm for formula fed? It sounds like somethings different it could be illness if he has cough and cold.

Could he be teething? My DD is 6 months old too, she's got 2 teeth so far but just before they came through her poo was exactly as you described, watery yellow with soft stringy bits, and she gets a runny nose with teething too

Dd has an oat intolerance which we only discovered when she started weaning. It's not a dangerous allergy, she gets stomach cramps and lots of painful wind. You could try a non oat porridge. Dd loves the kelkin rice and millet one.
