as you would only use a tiny scraping of it it should be ok on the odd occasion. It is very salty though

Gave my daughter it after 1 (thinly spread on toast). And she lived to tell the tale. not entirely sure of proper answer though.

my 9 month old has had th teeniest bit on some toast once or twice

(I felt it was important to get her into it early! )

I mash up the marmite with quite a lot of unsalted butter and use that to spread on bread. That way, it's easier to control how much she's getting. It's a bit hard to spread it really thinly out of the jar, I find.

my dd is 10 mo and has had a tiny bit of marmite on toast a few times since she was 8mo. she loves it. i think as long as i'm careful about her general salt intake then a bit ever ynow and then can't hurt!
