Weaning foods that are good for wind

Just started weaning on some purées.

My DS has always been a windy and pukey baby, tonight we had an apple purée and it hasn’t sat well, I’m guessing to acidic.

What foods are best to help with wind? And what foods are the worst culprits?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Instead of changing foods, have you tried introducing new foods at breakfast instead of the evening? This will give you all day to settle him and hopefully won’t affect his sleep at night Smile

Yes good idea, I was doing lunchtime and a 5pm food, but I think i’ll try morning and then 4pm, a bit more of a gap inbetween. I’m stopping the fruit purées for a while and just going in for vegetables - peas and root veg and potatoes are sitting well.

I’ve also been trying to keep him distracted after eating so he’s not going straight for milk on top of the food.

I’m going to start finger foods and hoping these might stay down better than purée,

Have a try of offering the solids roughly an hour after the milk feed instead of the other way around OP. This ensures that baby gets enough milk Smile

Haha he’s such a busy feeder, he feeds every 1-2 hours, so it would probably work out like that... if I can make him wait an hour!
