stopping breastfeeding

Hi, my son is 11wks old and in the last 2wks we've gone from 5 x breast feeds a day to 1 (obviously the other feeds are now bottles). I still feed at 7pm (bedtime) but over the next week, want to cut that out ie stop breastfeeding. By 7pm though my breasts are really full and uncomfortable and I can't imagine making it through the night if he didn't feed before bed. How do you give up that final feed ie give up breast feeding completely? Do I just have to accept having swollen, painful boobs for a couple of days...? Thank you.
Also, can I express a little in the shower for a couple of days or am I not supposed to touch my boobs at all...?

When did you drop the last feed OP? If it was recently, it might be worth leaving it a few more days before you stop the 7pm one. The current advice is to do 2 weeks between dropping each feed. This gives baby a chance to get used to the new volumes of milk and your body chance to adjust and reduces your risk of Mastitis.

If you do want to drop it sooner than the two weeks, expressing a little for comfort is fine Smile

You could hand express off a bit to take the edge off
