Snacks

Just wondering what age people introduced snacks?

My (breastfed) 9 month old has milk feeds at around 6.30, 10.30, 3, and a bottle before bed. Normally one or two feeds a night too . He has 3 meals a day, breakfast usually around 30 mins after that first feed, lunch at 12 and dinner around 5.

In the last half hour or so before dinner, and sometimes lunch, he can get very screamy - he calms down as soon as he's in his high chair with dinner in front of him, so I'm assuming he's hungry! I can't get him to take any more milk... is it time to introduce a snack? Would this replace milk or be as well as?

My daughter's been hungry for snacks between meals since around the time she turned one.

I don’t think it would hurt to give one snack in the afternoon along with the BF Smile
