does anyone have any ideas how to deal with a bubba (9 1/2 months) spitting food everywhere?

i dont think its because shes not hungry as when ds here to distract her, she eats her food as good as gold. it was quite cute at first, now its starting to chuff me off, have tried ignoring it, saying no and removing food til later time, shes doing it with finger foods too, unless its something she shouldnt really be having, like a biscuit, grrrr!!!!

she was also lay on her tummy the other day spitting onto the floor and rubbing at it with her finger

should i just continue to ignore it and hope its just a phase/something that she'll get bored of?

my DS did both these things until quite recently (he is 1) - i think it is a phase and part of discovering things (which is what being a baby is all about)
Try not to laugh (easier said than done)
Wouldn't take the food away as part of weaning and eating is all about squishing food and learning about textures (they aren't being "naughty")
I am sure (like everything else with babies and children) it will pass

also a stern "no" said in a firm voice can work
