Lunch when out

Now that my 11mo is finally eating! Yay
When I’m out and about what’s best to feed him for lunch? I seem to just be doing sandwiches. Must be something else!?

Any other ideas that doesn’t involve a spoon?

I mostly gave mine something from our plates plus some snacks like fruit or veg sticks, but depends obviously on portion sizes and what you’re ordering.

But pasta salad always worked well, savoury muffins, breadsticks/crackers/pita and hummus, wraps instead of sandwiches are also good.

Veggie muffins are popular with mine. Though if you Google baby lead weaning you will get lots of ideas. Lentils are quite a good base. I have done lentil and cheese tray bake and lentil and courgette patties.

Pasta is our go to.. take it with you or order a child's meal.

My LO has bits from whatever we are eating

Sorry I think I meant if I was out about about and not having lunch. Sometimes I don’t have lunch till his nap (so I can have it in peace!!) so we go shopping but obviously he needs his lunch. Hence the no spoon!
Thanks for the tray bake ideas! They will be easy and relatively mess free

sweetcorn fritters, spinach and broccoli cheese bites and banana pancakes are our freezer stash that I take out in the morning and are defrosted by lunch. Otherwise wraps, rice cakes and veggie/fruit sticks are handy when out.

My daughter loved Ella's kitchen pouches she ate them cold straight from the pouch sitting in her pram.
