so ds is 5 months old, can't sit up unaided yet, grip not great, can't find his mouth with a teether...i've not tried him on solids yet. he seems very keen, watches food with interest etc, but i didn't want to start weaning till he could sit up, and i'm sure i've seen babies his age sit up! argh! am i going a bit mental??

Is strawberry allergy common then? I don't know a thing about allergies and don't know anyone with them - I mustn't mix in the right circles!

I try and give DD seasonal(ish) british produce (apart from her favourite mangos!) which means tomatoes and strawberries. I thought I was doing the right thing and being as 'natural' as possible.

Maybe I should get an Annabel Karmel book and see where I'm going wrong. I jest of course

i've no idea, tbh. is it a latex thing or is that just kiwis? bear in mind the red 'rule' came from a man more accustomed to seeing anaphylaxis than yer ordinary bloke, so he's likely being ultra, ultra, ultra cautious.

Aitch - DS2 was allergic to raw tommatoes when little (can't remember about strawberries) and would get a rash round his mouth.

He grew out of it quite early on though so don't give up on it forever

i hope she'll grow out of it, certainly. i love a bright red scottish tomato, slathered in sea salt and olive oil. but her father hates them, so i'm outnumbered at the moment...
