What is the best - crap free - ice cream to give to my 1 year old?

surely the whole point of ice cream is that it is crap

if its only as a little treat then whats the harm? my dd 16 months old has had ice cream occaisionly from the age of 1 , just normal ice cream from ice cream man or supermarket.

I'd imagine something lovely and organic like Green and Blacks, but she really won't miss what she's never had if you don't give her any at all.

I would definitely avoid the ice cream van whippy stuff though, due to listeria risk and general poor hygiene.
