I am planning on gradually dropping the late afternoon bottle for my 11mo twins so they will be down to one in the morning and one before bedtime by the time they are 1yr. I want to replace that bottle with a snack though - what sorts of healthy snacks do you give your toddlers? As a responsible, health conscious adult (ahem) my personal go-to snack is a bag of Prawn Cocktail but I figure my little ones need more than that haha! Thanks :)

Just fruit is the healthiest snack

Crackers and cheese, apple and peanut butter, savoury muffins, cucumber/carrot/pepper sticks and hummus, rice cakes with cream cheese, hard boiled eggs.

Agree with all the above but I prefer Roast Chicken to Prawn Cocktail Grin

These Cheese Straws were a favourite of my DC at that age and they keep well in an airtight container.

sandwich, toast, slices of pear, hard-boiled egg, crackers, banana, cucumber sticks, raisins, jelly, yoghurts, BabyBel cheese, Dairylea triangles, slices of cooked chicken, rice pudding

Also avocado, either chunks or smeared onto rice cakes. Good fats and fills them up!

Organix cheesy biscuits
Rice cakes
Bread sticks
Fruit and yoghurt
A whole apple (keeps them occupied for ages if you give them the whole thing to bite into!)
Homemade muffins (I reduce the sugar a lot and flavour with fruit and vanilla extract)
Cherry tomatoes cut up into 8
Banana
Toast
A handful of any sugar free cereal (DD loves Rude Health puffed oats)

Agree with the whole apple keeping them quiet! Smile. The dry cereal had the same affect for DD but not quiet as long and some frozen peas had a rather quietening affect too Smile
