Ok I'm not actually stressed about this but it's a bit frustrating...!
Ds is 7 months. Weaning well - purée/finger food combination plus bf
He'll grab and happily put anything in his mouth that I place on his tray/in bowl. He'll gum in pieces of meat (supervised!) and slurp/swallow purées from a spoon. It's messy and we have fun. His poos are formed so he must be consuming enough!
But it's slightly annoying... Anything solid in mouth (scrambled egg, fingers of toast etc), he will do these little raspberries and drool until it's eventually expelled from his mouth. He's not gagging, he's not at all unhappy with the taste ior texture- he immediately goes back for more. (He's often trying to ram more in at the same time). It's just that he doesn't seem to realise that you chew, and you swallow!!
I'm assuming this will become a learned skill? I made him little baby muffins today and I'm sad already thinking about how they'll soon be dribbling down his chin. Maybe I shouldn't bother
