What is a 6 month old NOT allowed to eat??

I know they can't have honey until 1 year old - is there anything else I'm not allowed to give DD when I start weaning her??

Also - I'm going to go for the lumpy & help yourself approach straight away - any problems with doing this as far as you know?? I am determined to allow her to explore tastes and textures as quickly as possible.

re getting the shellfish thing wrong.

I think my aversion is mostly personal and slightly microbiological - I know what bivalves eat and they are the only things that have given me food poisoning more than once...

yes sometimes too much knowledge is a dangerous thing! Food poisoning really puts you off that food for ages.
