Hi,
My DD is 10.5 months old. We began weaning at the age of 6 months. At this point, my DD has tried most things. She will happily each with her hands things like chicken, patties etc. She takes milk from a sippy cup when thirsty during the day. She's never really taken to the bottle.
My question/concern is just how much food should they be eating at 10.5 months?
My DD always tries and eat everything we put in front of her. Trouble is, after a few spoonfuls of one thing, she tends to stop eating it. For a while we thought she was full, but then we offered up other things like strawberries and she has then demolished that too. Followed by yoghurt (babies LOVE yoghurt!).
We have lots of wet/dirty nappies.
During the day she will take an average of 100mls to 150mls of milk from the sippy cup. And she usually has a morning feed and a evening feed.
We tried to curb the morning and evening feeds but we found that as she was on the sippy cup, she wouldn't take in as much milk as she would have, had we BF her.
Both feeds in the day last in total about 30mins.
I should also say, my wife BF's my DD in the night too if she wakes up at the moment. So this may also be contributing to her not eating as much as other babies of similar age (as their babies sleep through the night).
How much food should a baby be eating at 10.5 months? I have no idea!!
Does anyone think I have anything to be concerned about?
