Hi everyone
We’ve started weaning our 6 month we stared with baby rice just a small amount morning and lunch just for her to get used to a different texture but familiar Taste. As agwvgas taken too this well we are going to move on from this onto veggie purée at lunch.
Has anyone tried baby porridge in the morning? I don’t want to over feed her. This is her second week of weaning.
Any tips would be great
Thanks Smile

You can feed normal porridge, don't bother buying baby stuff.

You're unlikely to overfeed her as long as you look at cues such as turning head away.

But seriously, you can go a bit faster. And you don't just have to feed smooth puree mush....

You will get so many differing opinions, as long as you read the cues your baby gives you there is no right or wrong way.

I started with pureed veg and then fruit for a couple of weeks. Ice cube sized portions. Then introduced porridge. Then combinations of flavours. Then different textures and then finger foods. That worked for us. I was lead by my little one and what she seemed to enjoy.

Thanks for al your advice. LO seems to be taking to it really well. Enjoys veggies and fruits. I have now started to mash as give her finger foods. As well as porridge in the morning. Now moving onto combinations of flavours.

How long did you wait before introducing the third meal of the day. At the moment we usually offer things morning and lunch feeds.
