Breastfeeding to weaning

Hi everyone, I'm hoping mumsnet can help me out today! My LO is 8 months old and weaning is going well. Previously she was just breast fed which was hard at first but now I really love it. But at the moment I just HATE IT when anyone else feeds her. My sister in law swooped in today and started feeding her yogurt and it really bothered me, I was almost having a panic attack. I felt angry and so protective. Has anyone else felt like this? I'm thinking it is something to do with being her only source of food up until now. Please tell me some other BF mums have felt like this and I am not alone/weird!!xx

You’re not alone at all but I’d let them feed her, if that’s what they want to do. She’ll soon be feeding herself anyway Smile

You've had such a close bond bring the person who not just feeds her but produces the feed too. You still have this and you can continue as long as you both want to. Food is very different but I totally get where you're coming from after it being just the 2 of you all this time.
