best apples to puree

My little one (5 months) has surprised me by turning his nose up at pureed apple. Think the ones I used were called 'crisp pinks'. Having tasted them I think they may be a little tart.Can anyone suggest a which may be the best type to use - perhaps a little sweeter?

Pink lady are quite sweet. Bit expensive though.

or cook some prunes in with the apple - lovely and sweet but watch the efect on the napppies!

I use braeburn ones, lovely
maybe add a dash of cinnamon too?
