Hates food!

My almost 9 month old absolutely hates food. Started trying with BLW at 7 months - he wasn’t even picking food up from his tray so I panicked and tried purées.

He tried a spoon or two the first few days but now point blank refuses. He’s more interested in playing with the straps on his high chair.

I’ve tried to stay calm about it and not make food an issue but I really am starting to worry now. He’s had illness and illness through the winter so that has obviously set him back.

If it’s relevant, he drinks around 5/6 8oz bottles a day.

My 7mo is having a tantrum every time we try to feed
Done purée done blw. Some days he’s “good” and opens his mouth for food other days totally refuses. Some days will eat finger food other days will cry

He’s on 3 7 ounce bottles and one 8 once bottle at bedtime. Occasionally waking for a small nigh bottle

So should I offer solids first? Then bottle an hr later? Even though he’s starving??? Won’t be get angry at me!!!!! I tried to do it mid feed once but wasn’t great not sure if I try that again?

His good days are 2-3 teaspoons btw! He never has a decent amount. Been weaning for 6 weeks now
