Baby rice-reaction nappies?

Hello, wondering if anyone has noticed any reactions with Aptimil baby rice? Have been giving it to my wee 6 month old girl, and she instantly has foul smelling gas and soon after a huge dark green/almost black sticky nappy. Could this be a reaction to the baby rice? Or just her adjusting to solids?
I am breastfeeding most of the time, just one/two bottles of Neocate a day, as she has suspected CMPA.
I looked on the ingredients of the rice and there doesn’t seem to be any milk, which is why I’m confused.
Thanks for any help.

Maybe try veg and fruits instead of the rice and see if you get the same reaction

Baby rice has no nutritional value and is basically a filler, there's also potentially dangerous levels of arsenic in it. Maybe try fruit and veg instead?

Neocate can cause darker poo apparently:

Your baby’s response to Neocate LCP

All babies are different, so yours may show some, all or none of the possible reactions below.

Poo may be greenish in colour and often quite dark though not black (if you think the stools are black, you must contact a doctor). Darker poo is normal and is due to the special composition of Neocate LCP and the way it is digested.Your baby may have more wind at first. This is normal and should settle.Because Neocate LCP is so easily digested, there is very little waste. So bowel movements can decrease in frequency once you switch to Neocate LCP. As long as stools aren’t overly hard and dry, and your baby isn’t having trouble passing them, this is normal.

Thank you for all your replies.

She does have darker ‘Neocate poos’. But this one is different, and stinks to high heaven! It’s all sticky and has to be scraped off her wee bum!
Her other usual nappies are dark, but runnier.
I was thinking of fruits/veg, and have tried apples and carrots but she doesn’t like the taste as much. Will have to persevere, I suppose. Baby rice is the only thing she will eat quite happily.
