Biting!!

My 10 month old has two bottom teeth. Generally, it’s fine but he gets bitey when tired. It’s not too bad currently, painful at the time but no lasting damage. Usually it’s just when I put him to bed, though he does go through phases of doing it at other times.

I’m trying to replace most of his daytime feeds with a bottle now anyway as I’m working, but am not sure about giving up morning and evening just yet.

Any tips? I’ve tried pulling away/saying no but don’t think he understands. It’s usually too dark for eye contact, which probably doesn’t help with that!

No advice, just sympathy.
Am currently having the same problem and it's really not fun.

I found that feeding lying down helped. Would that be an option? If that doesn’t work, or you can’t do it for some reason, I’d give one of the Bfing Helplines a call. When my DS bit, I called them and the BFC was really helpful.

Manic week, apologies for slow response.

Alas, I feed him lying down already. It’s actually been a bit better since I posted- I haven’t done anything but his top teeth have just started coming through so I’m hoping it might just be teething related.

Thanks for advice and sympathy!
