Weaning recipe books

Hi,

DD is almost 5 months & Will be starting to wean her at 6 months.
I'm trying to get as much info as I can 're weaning & baby lead weaning.

Just wondered if anyone could recommend any good weaning recipe books?

The River Cottage Baby @ Toddler cook book is great, lots of info and great recipes.

I used an Annabel Karmel book. Really enjoyed the recipes :-) Have kept it (complete with notes!) for dd when she is older.

There's no need for weaning cookbooks if you want to save a few quid, especially if planning to go baby-led.
We just fed them exactly what we were having with a few minor adjustments. We cooked without salt, took DC's portion out, and then salted before serving. Ditto chilli. No whole nuts so either used ground, very finely chopped, or like the chilli and salt, added at the end before serving. Subbed honey for maple syrup if it was unavoidable. In the very early days I would chop the veg a little bit chunkier than normal to help them grab it. I think that was it!
My DM did the same when weaning me, except she started with purees so she just blended my portion and had her own dinner go cold whilst she spooned mine into me .

I borrowed the Gill Rapley BLW book (not the recipe book) which was helpful, but I'm very glad I didn't buy it.

You could always get them from your local library, rather than shell out for them all.

I bought the annabel karmel books, however much prefer the Ella’s kitchen book and plan. The plan starts at 5 1/2 months with 14 days of a different vegetable taste every day. I loved the clear plan I had to follow.

AssassinatedBeauty I hadn't even thought of the library!! I might have a look at some of the books there and then even if I end up buying one I can see which one I prefer first.

I do like the idea of a clear plan to follow though, for some reason I find weaning quite daunting
